Today, Ready-to-drink coffee is one of the fastest growing non-alcoholic beverage categories. The segment took off as a sweet treat more than 20 years ago in the form of the Starbucks Frappuccino, distributed by PepsiCo. It’s booming now as a healthier alternative to soda and energy drinks through a variety of iced-coffee and cold-brew products. More than twenty years ago, Starbucks and PepsiCo started the North America Coffee Partnership and launched Starbucks Bottled Frappuccino chilled coffee drink. What started out as a totally new category has grown to be more than 40 ready-to-drink Starbucks beverages.
